Custom industrial identification

Custom engraved stainless steel tags for industrial identification.

When a tag has to remain readable in demanding service, the application matters as much as the engraving. We review the environment, specification, mounting method, and data before production.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Useful answers before you quote.

What stainless steel grade should I use for outdoor or chemical exposure?

304 stainless works for many general industrial settings. For chloride, saltwater, or chemical exposure, 316 stainless may provide better corrosion resistance, but the governing specification and actual environment should decide the grade. EngraveQuick stocks selected 304 blanks; 316 and other grades are sourced and reviewed separately.

What thickness options are available for stainless steel tags?

EngraveQuick's stocked 304 stainless blanks are approximately 0.048 inch / 1.2 mm thick. Other thicknesses can be reviewed as custom work. Share the handling, mounting, and exposure requirements so the tag can be quoted around the application.

How are stainless steel tags mounted?

Stainless steel tags are commonly mounted with screws, rivets, wire, chain, or other hardware through pre-drilled holes. Adhesive mounting can be reviewed for suitable smooth surfaces. Include the mounting surface, hole size, hole location, and attachment method in the quote request.

Will laser engraving on stainless steel tags fade outdoors?

Laser marking changes the stainless steel surface instead of applying a printed label, so normal outdoor exposure does not make the mark peel away. Long-term readability still depends on the stainless grade, mark contrast, abrasion, chemicals, and cleaning process. Share the service environment before production.
